PUBLIC ATTENDANCE OF COUNTY COMMISSION MEETINGS BY TELECOMMUNICATION ONLY.  Pursuant to KS Governor Order 20-16, in-person attendance at the County Commission meetings will not be allowed at this time.  We encourage attendance by telecommunication which also allows public interaction.

CHILD CARE LICENSING AND REGISTRATION

The State of Kansas requires that anyone providing home based childcare for unrelated children on a regular basis be licensed.  The Health Department is the local agency responsible for overseeing the regulations for all home providers, childcare centers and preschools. 

A list of all licensed childcare providers in Marion County is available by calling Child Start at 1-877-678-2548.

Information on applications or complaints regarding a provider may be directed to the Health Department’s childcare surveyor.
