About the County Clerk 

My name is Carol A. Maggard and I am currently serving the citizens of Marion County as Clerk/Election Officer.  I was elected to the position in November 1996.  Prior to that time I was the Deputy County Clerk since 1985.  My family and I make our home in Marion.

I am a member of the Kansas County Clerks’ and Election Officials’ Association. I am a graduate of the Sanborn Institute/Academy having completed 100 hours of instruction to qualify as a Certified County Clerk.  I am also certified as a Master County Clerk, completing an additional 48 hours, at that same Institute.
