The Marion County Health Department's mission is to Prevent, Promote and Protect the health and well-being of Marion County residents. We aim to provide the services necessary to give Marion County residents the opportunity to enjoy good health in a healthy environment.

Fight Flu...Get a flu vaccine! Marion County Health Department is providing walk-in flu vaccine clinics. Click here to find locations and times.

Flu Clinics are held every October at schools and community centers throughout the county, making it easy for residents to get protection from flu viruses.

Immunization Clinics are held each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please call for an appointment.

We accept most insurances and are contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and Medicaid insurances. Cash payment is also accepted. No one is denied services because of race, sex, age or inability to pay.

WIC services (Women, Infants, & Children) are available every Tuesday and Thursday. Please call Kim Ross, WIC Clerk, to discuss WIC eligibility or make a WIC appointment. To speak to our WIC Coordinator, ask for Charla Duerksen. Charla Duerksen is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) provides leadership to protect the health of Marion County residents through efforts to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters, infectious disease, terrorism, and mass casualty emergencies.

Safe Kids Marion County works to help families and communities keep kids safe from injuries. Most people are surprised to learn preventable injuries are the #1 killer of kids in the United States. Throughout the world, almost one million children die of an injury each year, and almost every one of these tragedies is preventable.

Chronic Disease Risk Reduction (CDRR) Community Grant Program addresses chronic disease risk reduction through evidence-based strategies that impact tobacco use, physical activity and nutrition.
